The Beast Is Here
Sometimes, just sometimes, patience is rewarded.
I've waited 20 months for the Beast to arrive and finally it is here. I'm desperately trying to hold down the RPMs, but it is a test of wills. The Beast just wants to run free. For those SoCal folks, I took her out on Mulholland this morning and the handling is not to be believed. The car is so tight, so grippy, and so darn fast it is ridiculous. Pictures of the Beast are below, including one on Mulholland. I don't think I'm up -- yet -- for the full review because I'm still just learning the ins and outs. Also, I love my interior --- white dials, full leather, carbon. OK, so I spent an absurd amount but I love it. Finally, thanks to everyone for connecting me with Moe of Glistening Perfection; he's just wrapped it, and he did a great job.
Ok -- no more teasing -- I know you all want the pictures, so here they are.

Congratulations on a great looking car. It is hard to keep the revs down.

I like the new usable, all-purpose quote, "It's hard to keep the revs down."
That's like something you'd say to your son before prom, "Son, try to keep the revs down."
Good luck on keeping the revs down. Ah, Mulholland Drive near Runyan Canyon at 8,500.
Yeah, good luck on that one. I wouldn't drive it there until I had 1k miles on it then I'd have a celebratory nightride down to Malibu with some redlines in Topanga.

Wow, all. I have to say that reading all of your posts kept me going. I just want to drive the Beast and drive it hard. It is just so fluid and so tight. Yummy!

Thanks for all the nice words. Just 300 miles on the Beast so far, and it is *impossible* to keep the revs down. Just ran through Topanga and the back roads and I've never felt so grippy and so in control in every turn. The shifting is just miraculous, incredibly precise and ridiculously fast. The control that you have over the car is nothing short of miraculous. It is hard to imagine a car being much better than this.
