Hmm, not so funny to me. Gorgeous car but just curious, you didn't care to check any of the above before buying - just went by what was told to you?

Porsche has a website for dealers where they can stick the vin in for any car and get the build sheet for any car. Used to be open to anyone, but the it got shut down some time ago. It was great to use when looking at used cars.

The dealer did provide a full list of options, including the color. All the options exist but I didn't know the difference between the 2 silvers. Honestly I love the color I have. Just not happy that the car wasn't as represented. It wouldn't be a big deal if GT Silver wasn't a $3k option. I'll talk with them this weekend and sort it out.

May be a good idea to figure out the actual MSRP of the car. Shouldn't be that hard for the dealer to give a straight answer.

Some background: This spring I was looking to replace my wife's 740. Been only driving BMW's for the past 15 years. I still have my track prepped E90 M3 and pristine E30 M3 with 2.5 EVO. Not liking anything from Munich I decided to look at the Panamera. Was hooked as soon as I drove it. Made it a surprise bday gift for my wife. It was my first Porsche since my 1985 944. After 9 months of bliss I decided to get a Cayenne GTS to tow the track car. Amazing how an SUV can drive! 2 weeks ago I stopped at Carlsen to pickup a trailer hitch adapter. They had the GT3 sitting on the lot. Mario asked if I wanted to take it for a ride. After that I had no choice but to buy! Now I have too many cars...
All that, and some gentle cajoling from his Porsche friends at the track. There is no substitute.

Not true. Just take the following URL and substitute your own VIN:
