A few notes/thoughts...

-- It's carrAra white, not carrEra white (boxster engine anyone?)
-- White, carrara white, and carrara white metallic are all different whites. White is a standard monochromatic paint option, CWM is an optional metallic, and pre-991 CW is available only via PTS (when PTS is up and running, that is).
-- White and CWM are hard to distinguish until you get close to the car. CWM has a little grey in it, but also pops a bit when up close because of the aluminum flakes. If you like it more, it's only $700 and change but some may feel there is too little difference to justify even this modest price.
-- CWM was not available on 2014s; this, coupled with the fact that standard white is far more popular among GT3ers because race car, CWM will be far rarer on the 991 GT3. To some, this alone may be worth the $7xx. I could see the argument either way and, as is so often the case, this simply boils down to one's personal preference.

Default CWM

I was back and forth, and actually CWM is brighter than white.

Nope, my car is CWM. The GT3 in the showroom pic is my car. The other car is a turbo in regular white.

Maverick, great pics showing both the metallic sparkly nature of the CWM and the grey undertone. both very evident depending on which angle u look at the car and the amount of light exposed to it.

Thanks, that's why I enjoy the color due to the effects it shows in the sunlight, and at night it's very soft. I think it's the best of both worlds, and easy to maintain. Just hit 1k miles, and absoutly still loving each mile behind the wheel.

Looks great. Ive always been concerned as to how easy it is to blend the paint though (having has some experience in this area).

Metallic white is one of the hardest colors to match if you ever have any damage to paint! I passed on it, looks good on luxury cars IMO

I've had metallic cars for years, and never has a problem with paint match. Key is to use a painter that know what they're doing, and they handle high in cars vs. a recommended insurance adjuster vendor.

Maverick. I have painted a few cars. Metallic paint can be tricky to lay down dependent on the fleck (size number of particles per inch and emulsion). The trick is if blending you need to lay it down in one direction as close to the factory finish as possible or risk clouding. Under uv light by trained eye most patch up jobs can be identified. Pearl paints like CMW are even more difficult as particle size is small and uses more than one colour flake. The paint is relatively more expensive . If you buy the touch up stick as an experiment try painting a half inch square sample on some plastic and see how difficult it is to get the pearl finish even. You need to constantly shake that bottle....just something to be aware of that's all....
