LOL. Quite true though.
Definitely not investments.

That potential of this car totally disinterested me from getting it. Couldn't care less if it goes from 0 to 60 in 1 second during low or high torque.

Unless, of course, you get one with 12k miles on it.

Just out of morbid curiosity, what do people expect the depreciation (if any??) to be after a similar period and mileage -ie 1 year and about 10-12k miles on the ODO.

I'd guesstimate $30-$35k.

TTS. Gt3 isn't going to depreciate that much unless you get into an accident. A major one.

For a GT3? Not sure about that. How many GT3s at 1 year were available for $110,000? I still see 2007 for high 90s and they are almost 8 years old. Who knows?, maybe the fire breathing automatic 991 will tank. I'll keep mine long enough that it won't matter.

I actually did a study on this with a couple of dealers. A used 2015 190K TTS with 12K on it should be able to sell for around 160k so the dealer will accept trade in at around 140K/145K.

If you bought the car at a discount at 180K, you lose around 35K-40K.

Most new cars 20 percent 1st year, 15 percent for 2 or 3 years there after.

I bought my 09 SL65 for half, 2 years and 8k miles old.

If you buy it not to lose money, don't buy it. I bought to enjoy and keep for a while. The car is phenomenal and I am NOT a turbo guy.

oh, twin turbo...

i was just confused (and still am) as to why everyone would abbreviate a word - "twin" into the name which was never there to begin with?

wouldnt it just be "TS"?

after-all the purpose of an abbreviation is to shorten, is it not?
