Don't feel bad. Most of the "experts" on this particular forum aren't either.

Select and buy what makes you happy. Don't pay attention to the naysayers.

As Charlie Sheen would say..this car is "winning" from an options standpoint. Congrats and enjoy.

Enjoy your car when it arrives. I think you selected every possible option on the configurator.

Valid point on the TTS comparison, and you'll probably have less depreciation. Get whatever makes you happy. I think you would be much better with an aftermarket wheel. Check out MACarbon as well. They will do a custom wheel with CF arms and paddles for about $2,500. Really beautiful. Good luck.

Guys. Im 5 weeks away from my GT3 and a picture I can post Im sorry. As many here know I reside near Fiji but my car is in NZ and I use it only when Im there (3 months a year).

I have posted below the production purchased. It came from Germany (German ebay) and was already cut the right size (1/2 inch presidely the size of the stitch area on the top of teh wheel I am told) and is low stick/residue (its tape used for marking stage floors and is called spike tape). I got it in red and it matches my interior belts, 6 point hardnesses etc. Im told it look great but I ahevnt seen it with my own eyes yet!

They make the tape in many different colours including a yellow which is just right....

GT3 Jockey. Hey mate, totally understand the logic now. If you have the funds and its a daily driver then go for it and enjoy it. Its going to look great.

That wheel you posted is a great alternative and frankly excellent value. If my alacantera one should get grubby and need a recover I may indeed just order one of those....thanks for the info and pictures.

3m makes electrical tape that I always use for this. There is one size that fits perfectly. I'm in Japan right now otherwise I would post the package number.

B and H photo/video carries the "spike tape, 12mm (1/2 in) in many many colors, including some bright neon colors. It is like 5.95 a roll.

Take that Porsche Exclusive!!!
The steering wheels look nice, but proceed with caution. Don't forget that the 991 GT3 only comes in an automagic transmission, so you will need paddles. However, not just any paddles will do. The GT3 paddles have stiffer springs or some other whizmo gadgets to help you feel more involved with the automagic transmission.

That looks pretty good Sam. I'm sure it didn't cost you 3 Gs
I see you also have BMW i8. How do you like that car? They are asking some ridiculous amount of money over MSRP for those cars, like 50-60k. Is the demand that high or supply really low? I've never seen that with BMW.

Yes, just a little below the price you were quoted for the tape I love the i8 and have 2,000 miles on it so far! Was on the list for over 2 years and am already on the list for its higher power replacement due in 2-3 years. I saw a post on the i8 forum, where a California dealership added "CA market adjustment" of $100K!!! They are very limited for 2014 (I think 50-60 cars in the US) but this will change with 2015 as BMW announced they will build more i8s (same assembly line as the i3) but it is not quite clear how many will be built next year.
