^ this.

If back seats are a priority, that's why they make a GTS.

I was picking up the gt3 as a track car, but I am now selling my dd r8 because I haven't driven my dd after I have taken this car home. 991 gt3 is very dd capable. maybe the trunk size is too small? but there is a lot of space behind the seats.

That's too funny, probably same thing will happen when I get mine!

Along with my wife's GTI, I daily drive a E90 M3. I am planning on driving my 15 GT3 (when it arrives) one to two days a week to avoid the battery going flat but I have a sneaky feeling that once I start driving it I am going to want to drive it every day! If that does happen, I will probably sell my M3 for a good beach car...maybe an old 4Runner.

I have had a e92 m3 before, I am guessing you will have to sell your m3 if you don't need the 4 doors. I've a macan on order. macan handles somewhat different than other SUVs too. you will love the gt3 and forget that you have a e90.

Well, I do need the four doors for my daughter but since she has never ridden in my M3 (as we always take the GTI if we need to transport her somewhere), it seems like it would be a waste to have the M3 with a flat battery.

You said it, once the GT3 comes...what M3? Hehe.

Interesting with the Macan, as my wife and I were thinking of upgrading from our GTI to a Macan. If they had any on the lot I would've bought one, but since every single one is spoken for and the waiting list is at least 6 to 9 months out, I figured that there was no need to upgrade from the GTI...right now.

You ordered a Macan S or Turbo?

I suspect not as much. AP said that making the gt3 a more capable daily car allows them the opportunity to go more extreme towards track focus on the RS.
My local dealer's two cents is that RS would not be seen till second half of 2015. This the latest after brand manager attended an international importers conference. Wonder what's taking so long and what they are cooking up with the RS? The time difference in the past between these models historically has only been 9-12 months. I suspect they have changed course a bit on RS after the problems they faced with gt3.

You just perfectly described the gt3 experience

i havent scraped on any speed bumps yet. the only scrapes ive had were minor and its only the bottom that scrapes. nothing visable on the front of the lip.

i dont have the lift.

the rear wing only covers about 10-15% of the rear window. i actually like it. it blocks the view of some peoples faces behind you.

were the rear seats really useful on any 911 anyway?

more noise...? of course, thats the best part of the car. and the MAIN reason i daily drive it.

The wing is awesome. It blocks the headlights from the back. Has not bothered me a bit. All this talk about the wing providing zero rear visibility is hogwash.

the rs with the much higher wing should not obscure rear visibility at all. i'd get the rs unless it is more than 80k more than the gt3.

The wing is one of the most annoying parts of the car from a DD point of view. It hampers you spotting cop cars behind and as DD'ing this car is a constant battle with them that's a bit of a pain!
