Do you mean on the "sound-plus package"?

I thought/heard it was Bose but they do not advertise themselves on the standard system. That is what my Dealer told me but it does not make a difference I guess if he was full of it

But - I have the sound -plus package and I am satisfied with the sound quality. Could it be better?? - absolutely - Could it have been worse?? - you bet

When you are pushing her you will no be able to hear to enjoy any way and for the first time I am actually turning down my stereo to enjoy the outdoor soundtrack

I have the Burmester in my 991S, and am very sad I can't get it. While the sound package plus is fine, it's not even in the same league as the Burmester.

Or the Bose. If you like a little bass, then prepare to be disappointed! I do wonder that, with less sound proofing, if the GT3 could actually handle a decent system though.

Remember this is meant to be track-focused car, if your priority is the stereo then hand me your keys, 'cos you shouldn't be driving a GT3...

^Not going to argue on this one - you are correct. The engine should be your soundtrack

No for some reason its not Bose. Its a Becker radio system. Why Porsche is using Becker on just the GT3 I have not been able to find out.

I'm guessing that Becker makes a slightly smaller system that fits into the GT3 but why it would need to be smaller I don't know. It does not make any other sense for Porsche to source from a different supplier. Would love to hear feedback if any one knows why its a different system.

Becker is a German company and they make great systems. No problem with them.

How bad can this stereo be with sound package plus ? The stereo in my 996 GT3 was probably the most feeble sounding system I have ever heard in a car. I am hoping for better with the 991-3

Becker has been providing car radios for Porsche and other German makes for decades.

A high fidelity audio system like the Burmester would be pointless in the GT3, IMHO, and not just because one should be listening to the engine soundtrack. Ambient noise is so high at highway speeds that the advantages of a such a system would be completely wasted.

The Becker in my 430 spider was absolute garbage!

I'm not worried about what will be in the GT3 however.
