Excellent choice taking the GT3 over the turbo S. Although many outside this forum may disagree!

Welcome. I'm somewhat of a newbie to the forum myself. Your build is very similar to mine. I haven't put it out there yet because my lock date was today and I didn't want to be influenced to change it any further (I've driven my sales guy nuts with multiple changes, questions, etc.). The only differences that I see between your build and mine are the following;

I didn't get the leather steering wheel or the chrono package. The only other changes relative to your build is that I have Carrera White Metallic with wheels painted in black. I did go heavier with the leather and Alcantara;

- Storage Compartment with "PORSCHE" logo
- Belt Outlet Trim in Alcantara
- Door-Sill guard in Carbon Fiber, illuminated
- Seat backs in leather
- Sun visors in leather
- Steering column in leather
- Inner door-sill guards in leather

I also added the auto dimming mirrors. And of course, I had to go with the foolish adds of the painted key and the aluminum-look gas cap.

My delivery date is scheduled for January 2.

Congrats! Sounds like a beautiful car! Looking forward to seeing the pictures of it once it arrives. Not sure if a lot of people have the white metallic but it's a great color. I was torn between white and GT silver but went with GT in the end. Did you have any reservations re: sports seats vs. buckets?

If you didn't get buckets, you should have got a turbo. Kidding. Nice build!

Yeah, I had reservations. For evidence, you can see the other thread about buckets versus sport seats. Now that I've come out of the closet and admitted I didn't get the buckets, I expect to be excommunicated from this board for heresy. At the very least, I'm an idiot for not getting the buckets.

That aside, the ultimate decision not to get buckets came down to the fact that I couldn't try them out ahead of time and the lack of adjustment for the backrest. At this point I don't plan to track the car so as a DD and/or weekend driver, I just didn't want to take that risk. Could I have sold them and swapped them out later? Sure, but I don't want to deal with that hassle. So maybe I'm a pansy and a moron for bypassing the buckets, but I've been called worse. Just ask my ex-wife.

Welcome to the forum! Nice build, the GT Silver is sweet! If it's not going to be a DD, Buckets?? You have a build that supports this option, Think of how few of these cars will have the 918 buckets!!

Thanks for the welcome and congrats. No pics yet - delivery in Dec/Jan - definitely will post once she arrives.

About those buckets, thought long and hard about getting them but comfort won in the end.

Welcome and congrats.

What made you choose the GTs over the Turbo S? I am just asking you this sincerely because I came from a Turbo and just interested.

Also - I thought very hard about the same dilemma.
