I did! I am up for the day at the track, doesn't mean I have to join. I agree it is a lot.

Lime Rock is about 40min from my brother in CT. I would go there too, probably will for some PCA events.

Maybe we shall meet at LR. I plan to join CVA PCA to maximize track days there. Too bad my car arrives early January ...I may not be able to drive it home from the dealer north of Albany,NY depending on the weather. My dealer may flat bed it to the house. It will be hard to resist driving it on dry salty roads waiting for spring.

I just bought a well dialed in ASA car that came with this little goodie!! http://www.race-keeper.com/race-keeper_products. Makes Porsche logger look meek! I have GT3 on order and I deleted.

I have racekeeper and love the functionality, but was a little disappointed in the video quality. Hoping to upgrade to the hd version when it comes out.

An intetesting excercise would be to ask the 997.x GT3 owners if itvis worth it.

They don't call it a dash wart for nothing...

I think the wart looks good. Would not want my GT3 w/o one. I think it is nicely integrated in to the dash and looks better than they did a couple years ago. Screw the function; I like the sport look. It is a very expensive time piece now but if you have the money go for it

JD, I'm afraid you may well be correct! I didn't order SC and will be wart-free and "plain"! All the hula mock-ups I've done aren't doing it for me either.

If I decide to go for it, I wonder if I have any options and whether the SC clock can be installed by the dealer?

Vanity is only skin deep at the end of the day, now on the newer 991. Ask the same question on the 997 GT3.x forum with the trackstets offers very little. Sport Chrono offers little for those who track and D.E. their 3's! For the most part the well informed and experienced 997 GT3.x owners would not care much for Sport Chrono. Most would opt for the full or half cage, Radio Delete and No Sport Chrono since it offers little in the way of assistance - and it's needed for the track app I believe? Could be wrong on that one though.
