Apparently a result of fuel overflow igniting when coming into contact with the exhaust. At least that's the early speculation. Let's just hope that is all it was. Bad timing..
I can't imagine it was a gas filling issue. It's hard to believe
that could happen short of putting the gas nozzle inside the exhaust port. My money is on battery/electric fire.

Like I said, if you fuel through the exhaust outlet, there will be a fire. The gas filler port is designed to not allow a fire to get inside the tank...that is a safety design with most newer cars I believe.
