i like turning the key.

5. Would it be so hard to put a colored tape on the steering wheel?

HUH?

7. In SPE mode, why not just open everything at all ranges? You press the button to make it louder so do it.

HUH?

night vision? i had it on two vehicles. never needed it once. completely useless feature and a waste of money unless you just want to show it off, and thats what the engine is for.

push button start is gay.

Isn't that the point?

...if it had 50 more, it will be the ultimate super car.
I'm sure Sharkwerks is working on that...

Good to see owners enjoying this amazing car!

Only if the DOT would've been a bit more aggressive (I know, blasphemous!) with the rear view camera requirement. But alas, we'll have to wait until 2017 for it to be mandatory in all new cars. Don't want to back over small children with a GT3.

As for push button start, it is interesting that pretty much every bargain basement car and up has this feature. How in the world can it negatively impact anything about a car's driving experience? It really makes life so darn convenient and really should be part of a 6-figure car, regardless of its racing breed. Hell, it would even protect the longevity of painted keys 😃

1450 miles here. Another 550 and I let it rip. A real joy, but my back wishes I had the 18 way seat. Track day scheduled early Nov.

You're waiting for a completely arbitrary number.. , you're a masochist... You car has been ready to "rip" for a long time.. Just keep the accelerator pressed to 9k, she'll thank you for it.

I truly think if we keep everything constant and add another 50 stock hp, the competition would have a very big issue with it.

Mike,I'm curious how do you think you can get 50HP more out of a 3.8 NA...? It's not easy...
Out of a Turbo yes,no problem,but NA....

You may be correct but we are half way there already. I believe the RS is 3.8 at 500hp (under rated). Pure speculation on my part.

besides being hard to get 50hp more out of a NA (then another 15-20HP more for RS). it would also royally screw up Porsche well laid out HP increment model line up - thats a big nono.

as for missing features: #2 would be highest on my list - i love the tilt reverse mirror function, with that i've never scratched the wheels in my 991 in 19months of driving it as a DD - no backup camera, no park assist. *knock on wood, i'm sure after i posted this i'm gonna scratch it...

I hit 5,000km today (~3125 miles). Just did the plug last night (and already have the SW bypass). So far, so good with the plug. It’s not crazy-loud at idle / low revs, you just get some of that good noise down-low now and not that all-of-a-sudden burst of sound when the valves open – now it’s a nice smooth progression. Proper. I tried mashing the throttle from a stoplight a couple of times and I think there is more of a delay of power but I think it's worth the trade for the extra sound. Car feels the same once the revs are up. I don’t foresee an unplug in my car’s future.

Dude - I’m DD’ing my car too so the other stuff would be nice, like the mirror-tilt for parallel parking and rear camera, especially if you can have the rear-view while driving forward but they obviously don’t take away from the driving experience of this car. Bloody brilliant all-round. Will put on another 1,000k this weekend including another trackday.
