I hear you. I just know my personality, and a few months from now, I'll be on to other things with investments, with the purchase of this incredible toy behind me. Money is cheap now, that is for sure!

what are the rates and terms people are getting for financing a GT3. Is PFS competitive vs regular banks and CU?

The 5% on return is before tax, you are correct....but if held long term you're not paying those taxes now.....assuming it's money down the road taxed at a long term rate and a lower bracket you'll be ahead of the game......
