I talked with my dealer about this today. As I understand it, the dealers bid on the cars and pay a price which they think will allow them to then sell the car at a reasonable profit. Significant risk on the dealer's end, since they don't know what buyers will pay given the stigma ('14 with replaced engine) attached to these cars versus the appeal of the buyer being able to get one in a few weeks. I don't know the implications of the branded title, and didn't ask about that. In any case, the dealer was currently thinking he might be able to sell the cars at MSRP to about $5K below.

I am sure there will be deals out there on 2014s. Compensation and extra warranty should help alleviate that but I am not living in a shell. If some one gets a good deal than more power to them. I never look back. I am fine with my situation and every one must live with theirs'. These type of posts can wind you up. Move on - you have your car. Who cares if some one had a unique situation and cut a deal.

I could technically bail on my 2014 and get a 2015 with little issue. Not going to do it. Compensation and warranty make it better, for me, than ordering a 2015.

Plus... It's on a boat tomorrow. :-)

dealer buybacks ARE lemon cars, and this would show on the title. lemons aren't just cars with a repeat issue. just wanted to clarify that... I can't understand why anyone would pay anything close to msrp, even with an extended warranty, for a lemon branded title gt3.

"Do not look a gifted horse twice in the mouth" - I think they say - enjoy - you never know what is going to happen tomorrow.

Like I said. Perfect cars for driving schools and rentals if its a lemon car. It has no business to be circulated on the open market. What is Porsche thinking.

Can't believe we are still talking about buyback, lemons, and bailing out. Sounds like Feb 2014.

No. Only cars bought back by the Manfacturer could be classified as a lemon. Think about it. If I go buy a brand new Boxster tomorrow and I decide that I don't like the color I could sell it back to the dealer if he wants to buy it. It would just be a used car, not a lemon.

This is not accurate at all, I suppose there might be a specific situation in a state I'm unfamiliar with a certain law but a dealer can buy a customers car back for any reason and it wouldn't brand a title?

I'm sure it's been worn out but I think it's worth making sure everyone is familiar with what they are buying as 2014 GT3s are coming up for sale that have already been titled. 2014 GT3s don't need to have a bad reputation because of misinformation and misunderstanding of branded this and speculation that? I think it would serve RL members well to make sure it's clarified.

Do you have any more pics of your agate GT3 ? I'm leaning that way.

Funny you asked. I just got this pic today from a local auto photographer who took these a few weeks ago when I visited the Apple store at the Americana Mall. Its like the NY small version of the Autogespot.

LOL..... You are too easy Rockit. I'll be very honest about this color. It's very menacing when your eyes get focused on it. The key word is focus because from a distance, it will not stand out as the red or white (with red stripes down the middle ) If you want to be notice from a distance, you need to announce yourself as you are approaching by blipping the throttle . You can then see peoples lips say "holy ****".

If you want to be the "all eyes on the hot blonde chic walking into the bar" get the red or white.

Just my opinion.......
