I'm leaning towards skipping front axle lift because it's expensive, adds weight, integrated into front shocks and maybe makes their eventual replacement cost higher, more stuff to go wrong (and associated risk on track), and I don't mind scraping under the car if the damage is only cosmetic. Am I wrong? Seems like people are having varying experiences with this.
The "do I need it" discussion is all over the map. The splitter on this car is rigid and firmly affixed to the front valence; a good rap on the splitter could translate to an expensive incident, not just a scrape. Some owners say they never need it; I've had two occasions in 2700 miles where, without the lift, I'd have required the services of a tow truck because I would have either been stranded or done major damage to the car trying to get it out of a situation. Maybe that will never happen to you.....

We have red belts in the Cayman R (white exterior, black interior), and they still look great after 3 years, at least 35K miles, more than 100 track days, some of those track sessions in rain with open windows.
BTW, red stitching requires other leather at cost of more than $3K, so leaning towards passing on that. Plus, I don't mind a somewhat spartan interior, though splash of color is nice with the belts.

If in a few years if they are dirty then you can have them swapped out. I ordered red belts in mine. I also got the lift. I normally don't scrape but this car is low. I have had it in several of my cars and it's great when you need it. Beats tearing the front bumper off.

Manifold, please don't buy a GT3. I don't think I can stand all the bitchin' and moaning post purchase. Do your own research for a change and make a big boy decision.

Close to how I would've done it, except:
- dump red seat-belts
- dump voice control
- pay for the minimum extra leather to get the red stitching. Much better, more subtle link with the calipers, tail-lights.
Given the current flood of allocations I too have been playing with the configurator. Each session has to be immediately followed by a ride in my 6gt3 so I can be brought back to my senses.

Thinking metallic white may be a way to go white with a bit more character. Still on the fence with front axle lift.

Nice build. I decided against the red stitching too. I think the stock stitching will look great with a white car. What do you think about black wheels? My RS had red stitching and carbon. It did look good.

I considered the black and silver wheels, but the standard platinum seems perfect to me. In fact, if the standard was silver, I'd pay extra for the platinum. Of course, all personal taste ... and sometimes a function of mood too!

I think all of them work. I like the platinum too. I would second the smoking package (I don't smoke unless I am on fire) for the extra 12 volt outlet.
