Trickle chargers aren't really regional. They are dependent on how often you drive the car. I you leave it for two week stints without driving and do not take long enough drives, the battery will wear and your alternator will work harder.
If you drive it daily, you don't need it.

So are you using a trickle charger in the middle conse power socket or a different method

So to be more specific i dont have the smokers package and its plugged into the middle console but it doesnt stay hot after 30 mins. I m now trying the glove compartment. Anyone know which outlet stays hot so i can leave trickle charger plugged in.
I know on my panamera the cig lighter stays hot but i didnt get smokers package.

Exactly what I do. Charger is mounted on the wall of the garage. I open the frunk to get out my Porsche indoor cover, and hook up the charger. Quick, easy, and no fooling around in the cabin or closing doors on the cable.

Here you go. To get the length that I wanted, I purchased an extension lead that allowed me to bring the plug out through the cover for the battery compartment to where it is easily accessible. The plug nests in the recessed handle for the cover and more slack can be pulled out when required. Note that the connector is also fused for safety.
