Mike, the new key is heavier and it does not easily slip into pockets. When it does it appears to be a bulge. Also, I run and having the key rattling about in my pocket is a nuisance. I would take the old key if available.

Here is picture of a 458 key.

That's exactly right. It is so ridiculous I had to get it.

Nick, just giving you guys a bad time. If you think it's too big, it's too big. Personally I have no problem with the size or shape of it in my pocket and overall it's no bigger or heavier than my Audi switchblade style key so you probably wouldn't like those either. I admit, though, I prefer a metal key to the Porsche key when it comes to actually inserting it in the ignition.

Me too. I think these car shaped keys are cheesy, lack heft and feel neutered. Unless it's painted. Then they are great.

^^Nick thinks it's too heavy, you think it lacks heft. Painted, unpainted. Bulging, neutered. Who knew keys were so freaking complicated?

Did you apply Opticoat or whatever before Xpel?
Do you recommend waxing?

If you buy black cars, like me, you don't have to pay extra for them to match.

Fair enough, but you have to admit the lozenge shape could be a major benefit if you ever had to smuggle the key across the border somewhere....

Looking into nano coating but worried it'll be too slippery. Prolly just will use turtle wax and a microfiber cloth

I appreciate her perspective, just as long as we're clear that I was talking about a key. LOL....
