anyone experience front end lightness

I recall having that exact same feeling when I bought my first GT3. My circumstance was on a sweeping freeway connector ramp, that had some jarring expansion joints. It really unsettled the car and made the front end feel really floaty. Very unnerving! However... I will say that it's just a feeling that you quickly adapt to, as the car actually _is_ planted and doesn't move around or understeer.
Mark, I was under acceleration on an inclined road. The car may have been unsettled because of surface conditions
I will monitor.

I had a 997.2 TT Cab. Took her out for a spin and did not feel the lightness. Will continue to monitor.
Here I am picking up the car.

Thanks guy's. The major problem I have with the car is the threat of getting arrested. Imagine riding a thoroughbred race horse at a trot holding back the reins as it tries to run faster. It wants you to push it screaming "you're missing the best part".
It is intoxicating.

Congrats Nick.
I traded my 997.2 Turbo about 20 months ago for an R8 V10. Drove her for 5 months and right in to my Porsche Dealer last July as a trade-in for a GT3. When they gave me the Loaner C2S about 5 months ago there is no doubt I felt the front end was very light especially at higher speeds( over 60mph) Now, it does not mean that I felt is was less stable but it was quite noticeable compared to the R8 than my Loaner. It did bother me a little and took a little time to adjust. I bet if I went from my Turbo to the Loaner I would not of noticed much-I think

I asked because 997.2 RS front end felt considerably more nailed down than 997.1 RS due to geometry changes facilitated by DEM. I would expect 991 to be even more nailed down so if you're feeling lightness first thing I'd do is have alignment checked by a race shop (not on a machine).

Counterpoint...
All 911s should have a light front, otherwise they are not 911s. Unfortunately Weissach keeps adding 'stability' and removing the 11 signature traits and slowly killing the icon. Either one understands the 911 driving dynamics and embrace them, or move on to other pastures.
Do not try driving a classic 911. Those are the pure ones and there is nothing wrong with them.
