Eduardo.. Wouldn't that beautiful signal yellow clash with pccb yellow? And why won't Porsche offer deviating stitching in yellow!?!?!?

A signal yellow car with black accents (wheels and headlights) with matching yellow brakes would be amazing... But without a good solution for caliper color it's tough... You could paint calipers black aftermarket?

Not in Ryan's case since he is not ordering PCCB's.

PAG made a decision to contract with outside vendors for only two interior gt3 options - default 'Platinum Grey' and optional 'Red'. The default 'Platinum Grey' is a more visible deviating stitching color than anything Porsche offered previously as standard on their 997 gt3 models! I looks distinctive & very elegant, especially in 'full leather'. And you can't beat the price - N/C. Overall, the limited options are part of the price you pay for getting the gt3 base price as low as US$130,400! If you look it from this perspective, we should be grateful that the interior of the 991 gt3 looks as good as it does for that price! And the default 'Platinum Grey' is neutral enough to go with just about every exterior you throw at it!

Yes, painting the calipers after delivery is an alternative, as you well know.

Thanks for the input guys, here's our complete configuration.

Exterior Color - Racing Yellow (P3)

Performance
Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) (250)
Front Axle Lift System (474)

Wheels
20" GT3 Wheels (431)
Stock Platinum Color

Interior
Smoking Package (583)
Seat Belts in Racing Yellow (XHN)

Luggage Net in Passenger Footwell (581)
Light Design Package (630)

Audio and Communications

On wheel color, we have a Porsche Cayman R in Platinum Silver with Black accents, the gloss black wheels show the brake dust really badly. So we are ordering the GT3 with the stock Platinum finish on the wheels which more of a dark grey satin; if we decide black would look better we will have the wheels custom painted or powder coated in a very matte semi-gloss black.

I also have a request into Melissa Witek with Porsche Exclusive to have:

1. Sideview mirrors either lower portion of mirror or entire mirror in black
2. Wing end plates done in black

Similar to the affect on this car which was posted in the PTS thread

Any feedback is welcome on the options we've selected.

Thanks,

Ryan and Diana

Nice build! I'll be curious what Melissa says about your request for the end plates and mirrors. I have also inquired about availability/cost for this but have not heard back yet.

if you're going as far as to request the end plates and mirrors painted in black.. why don't you see what happens when you ask about having the calipers painted in either racing yellow or black... I'm thinking yellow car, with red calipers and black end plates would like.. quite.. ehm, german flaggish?

Your build is fantastic and is going to look amazing.

I just worry, a bit, about the deviated black on the mirrors and winglets that you might resemble a bumblebee going around the tracks.
