Default Track day today

Rather boring to watch because there were only two other cars there today (normal for July and August in Texas). On the other hand, great to have the track almost to myself. It was sloppy early on. Got one second slower than my best time in February, when the temp was in the 40s, vs 90s today. In the C4S, I was 2-3 seconds slower in 100 degree weather, compared to 40-50, so I can't really tell if car is faster or same. Plus, today was my fist track day after 4 months without car so it's possible the car is faster (?RWS, PDK software, exhaust mod, who knows).
I located the mic exactly 1 ft away from the exhaust so it helped in the higher RPM range but lost some of the lower speed sound, making it sound like I'm really taking it easy, and I wasn't. Fun car for sure. Going again Saturday so I won't get the mesh installed yet.

Sam, I think the sound was great! Mounting it a foot away helped a lot! Great job on the track!

Thanks. SW bypass.

His first day on track but I agree, could have gone a bit faster.

Thanks for the location tip!

GL Saturday!
In Auto but had to override it at a particular turn where it tended to short shift me if not deep on the throttle in a spot that required a little coasting. Otherwise, auto was right on.

Three times (one wasn't recorded). Not sure, I think the grass needed some mowing there.

Thanks, will do. The car is phenomenal and as I get used to it again, should drive even smoother. Already used 200 mL of oil, as expected. I have over 800 miles on the new engine, including a total of 1 hr on track today. Also worthy of mention is engine oil temp. Highest was 236 and temps were in the low 90s today. Not bad at all.

Sam, it looks like the car has a lot of front grip. Does that seem true to you? Any comparison with your other Porsche's on that? Maybe that's what Trakcar is talking about.

Looks like it's begging to get on a bigger track. Thanks for the video.

Yes it does. Less understeer than other 991 iterations for sure and on top of that, I added a lot of negative camber (-3.1). Yes, it should shine in a bigger track. The closest big track to me is TWS (http://www.texasworldspeedway.com), which unfortunately will be gone by next summer. I may try a September DE but my schedule doesn't look too good.

That's some pretty green grass for Cresson. Have you guys had a lot of rain?

It has been unseasonally "cool" here (usually 100s by now) and relatively speaking, yes more rain.
