[QUOTE=MaxLTV;14801815]Had a nice day at Laguna Seca last weekend and set a new PB in my 991.1 GT3. In the first vid I do 1:36.32 on lap 4 (a new PB), but that's with a mistake in T11 that cost me over a second. Best rolling time from just after T10 of Lap 3 to the same spot of the next lap was in low 1:35s.
The next vid is 1:36.31 lap with a passenger. I did not intend to shoot for a fast lap, but it just worked out.
Well done!! How did you pass sound that day??

I've never driven Laguna Seca so maybe those are optimal gears for that track. Just curious, as there appear to be a few sections of the track where being in a lower gear might provide faster acceleration and thus faster/lower lap times. Great driving!!

Out of curiosity, at the track do you engage PDK-S or do you shift manually? I ask because in your videos, (1) your car up-shifts to 7th gear and (2) your gears appear to stay primarily in 6th and 7th gear. In some turns, your speed drops to under 80 mph but the car hardly gets out of 6th gear. This leads me to suspect that you might be running in PDK-Normal mode. Maybe its a personal preference of yours, however in my experience, accelerating from 75 mph in 6th gear is not optimal (if turning faster lap times is your goal). I would think 4th gear would be more ideal.

Went to Sebring with my son this past Sunday. Had the pleasure to instruct him... All he says is "Got It" and then fixes it the next lap. A great student, across the board.
I had a great time with the car as well (tires are near end of life after 3 days of both of us using the car).
The car runs like a well oiled machine. Flawless. The driver, on the other hand, needs more work.
Here are a couple laps...
Here is my son. This is his 3rd day ever doing a DE, so I'm proud of him for many reasons. A true gift.

On track with my 991.1 gt3 on the Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Italy
MPSC2 tyres manthey racing geometry and ferodo ds1.11 brake pads
On the same track I was around 1 second faster with trofeo r partially worn tyres

Just an update on tyres
I had almost new mpsc2 and after a few sessions on this track the front left is really worn and makes the car understeer and the others are also almost completely worn
I expected the mpsc2 to last more than the trofeo r but in fact on a small curvy track the trofeo r lasted more as they are probably better for those conditions
I ordered some dunlop sport maxx race 2 to replace the michelins I do not expect them to be as fast as the trofeo r but I would like to see how they compare to others

Was able to participate in this weekends AZ PCA DE event. Car continues to amaze me, 100% stock, still on OEM Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2's... 3rd Event (Day) on them, and they seem as fast as when new still. Wear seems very good.
In this video, the first 2 laps, I ran with suspension in 'Normal' mode, running 1.42.68 & 1.42.69. Then, I put the suspension in 'sport' mode, and immediately dropped a 1/2 second, going 1.42.18. This was with a completely full tank (first session of the day).
I'll look to upload the Porsche Track Precision App view next.
Alignment is also 'stock' (max end of factory) at 1.8 negative square.
Tire pressures 'cold' were 26 front, 29 rear.
Fuel was 50/50 mix if 91/100.
The rear is a hair loose, imo... and I'll look to set the front bar into the stiffest position next event.
Best Regards,
Dave
