I will proudly admit to being a huge McLaren fan, and also a fan of the GT3... To be honest, I wouldn't kick the Ferrari out of my driveway either... I'll have to go find that article and see what Mr. Bovingdon has to say. He's typically pretty good at what he does.
Thanks for sharing.

If your drive (or your SA) will allow for a bit of hooliganism in the 650S be sure to read up on pedal feel. A few that have driven it and expected the go-fast pedal to be set up like a Ferrari came away disappointed as it isn't as urgent and twitchy. That said, if you put it to the floor, well, hold on!

I'll just leave this right here...

If you choose to read the entire thread, great. If not, the real truth in regards to this test comes into play by post number 80.
That's it. I'm out.

...Also, I signed up over at mcLarenlife a long, long time ago & tried to post several times, sent an email or two and still not able to post. Maybe they don't want me over there...![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
Interesting that the GT3's and 650's lap times were not published. Or am I missing something?

Yeah, I just read the Ferrarichat on this article. Seems like there are rumors that the GT3 performed extremely well considering that it just had the swap engine under 400 miles and running on steel breaks. They said track numbers were not listed because the numbers were not very complementary to 650S and that Speciale only beat the GT3 by .02-.03 despite having a crew there and the day before for testing the F car.
Speciale is an awesome car and the GT3 for its price and performance, should be very sought after.

Rummors aside, If I was writing the review and ferrari had their crew there with test drivers, tires, laptops and PR folks. It may be in my best interest to be "accommodating" or it may be the last time I get my hands on any F car. Not to diminish the speciale as it is a great car but one has to understand how good the 991 GT3 is and how it can never win a test like this not because it can't win but it just won't be allowed.
Just my opinion.

The controversy is coming from Ferrari and Mc forums. I think we're just happy being allowed to be playing in the same sand box. Its not our fault that the GT3 kicked the 650s *** and gave the Speciale a black eye. Im just happy I was allow to play and will be proud to own a 991 GT3.
