Did the 919 look smaller or larger than you thought it would? I recall the Spyder in person was looonger and much narrower than you'd think.

I would say it was pretty similar in size compared to the RS Spyder. It's definitely lower when sitting right next to the 991 RSR as some pics have showed, but wasn't as small in person as I thought it originally was from pics.

Thanks! I was hoping for a few more factory museum cars, but the turnout overall was great! I guess I will have to wait for the next Rennsport Reunion and hope it's back in our neck of the woods!

I read somewhere that RR is slated again for Laguna Seca. That event was a blast!

How didn't I know ab this event.. I was down there on my bikes and had no idea.

Is there a common race/gearhead event calendar one can refer to to find out what cool events are going on in NorCal?

Great pictures,

For the record, please know that this was just a life-size model of the Le Mans 919 Hybrid and not the real thing! But to answer the question, it looks smaller than expected in real life! Check it out against the set of empty seats.

Correct. That is the rumor. Initially we heard 2015. But because PCNA (who now controls the Rennsport event) is overwhelmed at moment with internal expansions - new personnel, new headquarters building in Atlanta, and the new Porsche Experience Centers (Atlanta & Los Angeles), I predict Rennsport V will be postponed to 2016! But the venue will likely be Laguna Seca!

Me too Rally. I kept looking for a hat with flames but never spotted you! Interestingly, Pine was there and by chance I met and spoke with him: we had had several previous phone conversations. Had I remembered about his promise to you, I would have asked him about it.
