Mine was picked up a few days ago - I was just at my dealer, BH Porsche, as I had to drop off the second key. Service tech told me that they had a whole dealer checklist (including getting both keys) and "things" they had to do to get the car ready for port. He would not say what that was, but he expects my car to go to port tomorrow. He got a call today letting him know that...all very mysterious.
Leilani, I would call Andrea or Ian and find out an ETA on pickup.

Congrats! Nice to know at least its in arms reach and you can touch it. Hopefully I will get a call from Ian Moon one of these days despite me trying to get a hold of him. No idea as to my eta yet. Car is still at the factory.

"The black one is about $160k MSRP. It has spent some time getting bird crap on it over the last several months."

It cleaned up nicely...

I got my call on Monday and the car gets picked up tomorrow morning. In Santa Barbara. I suppose I'll post the obligatory "car on flatbed" picture.

This just in: my engine should go into my car Monday or Tuesday!!! No one can commit to even a vague time frame as to when it might come back...
Sam - PM sent.

lumber - Thanks. That picture is beautiful. I am starting to get that itch back. If that car was Basalt black I would consider asking them for a Trade on my white which will not be back from port until Aug.

Just spoke with my friend Ian and provided me some info I thought I would pass on.

First my car. Original delivery date 5/2 now expected at dealer September 5th.

Other news:

1. Engine swap is going faster than expected.
2. For those with cars at the factory the earliest date they have for cars to be at dealers is August 8th.
3. For those with cars at the factory the latest date to for a car to arrive at the dealer is November 28th. I did not ask how many cars are at the factory bound for the US.
4. For those converted from a 2014 to a 2015, production will start in October with 2015's to start to arrive late October/early November.

That's the latest from my friend.

Thanks, Clocked. Is engine production and swaps faster all around? Or just at the factory? Meaning, are the engines being produced ahead of schedule to be freighted to US ports too?
