Default Vw makes $23,000 on every new Porsche bc we like paint and leather

it's no secret that Porsche offers very little in terms of options which might be standard with other manufacturers... But our love for even basic options on our cars (let alone contrasting deviating exclusive blah blah stitching) is where they really make their money...

Which is why a stripper version of the GT3, with just the free options and red seatbelts) is by far the best deal on a Porsche, as they probably only make half their usual profit.

Or buy a lightly used one and get the options you want for free? Which is literally what happened in my case, got a 143k MSRP vehicle for around the base MSRP.

The low option cars are the coolest. The only option I'd really want is the leather dash!

Ironically, my own RS is pretty well optioned but does NOT have the leather dash. Hmmmm.

Well Porsche takes it to the extreme in this instance. At least Mercedes, BMW and Audi, Audi being the best, offers far better and cheaper Package Deals than Porsche does.

I was looking at the Price of an Audi TTS the other day and they don't offer too much as in Add ons for package deals. Starts out at about $48K+ and by the time I was done, not much to fiddle with, paint, seats and navigation it was around $53K+ as quoted on Audi's website.

Agree, I just wanted leather and buckets. That + ceramics is all my car really has. I had a longer list of stuff I didn't want - no nav, no wart, no headlights that turn. It was tough finding a car with out those.

Did anyone see if buckets were included on the 2015 configurator? Been absent from forum for a bit and would love to see that bit of news pop up.

Buckets... We need Buckets

No, I keep on checking to see once a day. Nothing. Doesn't look like it will happen. If it did, there would be big news and people would be dropping their 2014 allocations like flies.

When is your build arriving?

The olden 997.x Buckets aren't compatible with the 991?

Sorry if I missed the answer to that question if it's been asked...

Don't know why Porsche is P-Footing around with that option.

Further, they took that dark Maroon color, Amaranth Red, off the books from the Turbo configurator. Oddly enough when I select PTS Metallic the color appears to be the closest color I've ever seen to Arena Red. Which is the color I would choose if going the PTS route, since that is my favorite color in 993 TT Clothing!

The olden buckets will fit just fine. The wiring harness for the airbag and seatbelt light will not. :-(
