I'm surprised by a couple of things... first at how simple the thing this. Second at how much movement there is at the actuator for such a small change in angle (3 degrees?).

1.5 for GT3. 3 for Turbo.

Just FYI, when the wheels were put back on, that rear CL locking pin wasn't fully engaged... It was only half way out.
Thanks for the observation. I only hand tighten the locking bolt with the intention of the wheel not going past idle speed. The locking mechanism however still engaged keeping the wheel locked.

We are collecting metrics for the GT3. We don't have a turbo at this time.

Can you cite a reference for those numbers?

Cool, figured you'd be onto it mate ... Four plus years of playing with those little suckers and my eyes are now programmed to go straight to them whenever a dust cap is removed... Porsche Centrelock OCD (PCOCD) I suppose! lol

I believe the actual max angle is 2.8 degrees to be precise at low speed (opposite direction), but they usually round it up to 3 deg in their marketing literature, which is close enough. However the angle at high speed (same direction) is the same as the GT3 @ 1.5 deg max.

By the way nice video and presentation. The best I have seen so far. Well done. Mark

Default rear end steering video

sorry if it was already posted.

http://autos.yahoo.com/news/closer-l...140030910.html

I still believe it is not a track safe feature. it plays 2.8 deg both ways, if this joint gets torn off or stuck on either side you will fly into wall.

Thanks for sharing!

I originally made the video for this forum. Forum Link. But since then the video got picked up by numerous magazines and blogs and got over 80k views in just 6 days.

We've taken some measurements of the toe change and we'll extrapolate some useful information from the data soon. We'll keep you guys posted here.

As far as track reliability, I guess we wont know until we take it to the track and abuse it a little bit
