Nice job SW and congrats on the new metal. Will be very interested in hearing your impressions once this recall thing is figured out. Mine is stuck in Germany somewhere, last I heard was at Port of Emden but don't know if returned to factory or not.
Also, I'd like to know who you recommend for tint and clear wrap. I've used Sun Tint in the past with good results.
If you get your car to your shop sometime I'd love to check it out. You might recall that I sold my yellow 997 GT3 some years back to your buddy, back when you shop was by Colvin on Hancock.
I was planning on the COTA private track day next month but that's a bust. . . . so sucks.

Nice to see SW posting on this forum. He's a hell of a nice guy too. I originally met him when he was big into Supras and he set some truly amazing records with those cars...and the legend lives on!

Very cool cars SW. My 1st car was a black 1978 Trans AM in high school back in Michigan. I paid $5800 for it. I bet its worth ALOT more now probably around $80K to $100K. I Crashed it the 1st week and it sat at the body shop for 3 months. Love to get another one. I miss that car

Oh man, please send me a link to your '72 455 HO 4 speed T/A if you have them SW...that is absolutely required viewing. Not that your '73 is chopped liver or anything. Those cars are so killer!
You probably don't know this about me, but my very first car at the age of 16 was a 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo (the 4.9L non-intercooled turbo, 3 speed automatic, with the boost lights on the raised hood). That car was my dream when I bought it, and I was lucky to have her.

Thanks, I am a Trans Am fanatic. I had several growing up and while I was in High School. I currently have 3, the red '73 I have owned for over 10 years. I originally restored it myself, then sent to Detroit Speed and had them mini-tubb it, install large Baer Brakes, fuel system ect, It has a 462 ci Pontiac motor, TKO 5speed, Fikse wheels 19x13r 18x11f with lots of body & suspension mods to make everything work. I also have a '72 455 HO 4spd numbers car with just a couple of tweeks, a '79 T/A and a '71 Camaro RS with the whole DSE catalog in it, including a LSX 427 dry sump motor and a TR6060 6 speed.
If you EVER consider selling your 73, 72, or 79, please let me know. I would be interested... Hell I already am! :-)

As am I... I grew up with a 79 T/A with 400 4sp... When I spun a bearing, we punched it .30 over, installed a 455 crank (with the main journals welded up) and went with a nice lopey TRW cam and that car was so much fun. My uncle had a '71 455 HO that I briefly owned. Had to sell both those cars over the years, but still love and miss the T/A's.

Here is the original 41 year old interior of my '73. The only interior parts I replaced was the carpet & console. It was a very nice southern California car. 1 owner.
The day I got it, June 2003 with it's original paint!
11 years later..
