Yeah I wouldn't give a crap about a few rubles as 'compensation'.
Now if PAG extends even just the powertrain warranty for 2 years, that would be awesome, and underscore their faith in the new powerplant. I'd much rather have that, and it would send the right message to the buying public and help protect resale.

^+1. Extended warranty would be one of the top items on my wish list...right after not having my VIN affected. But if I paid for the car already, being compensated for lost time is critical. They lost use of car as well as whatever portion of standard warranty that elapsed.

I hear what you're saying but if the time lost is say, 4-6 weeks? That's real time for some who look to keep cars for 2-3 years.
My car is still en route, so just a delay. So for me, warranty would be my top want.
