A friend of mine send me this YouTube link for couple of GT3 owners breaking in their cars. Nice driving, and nice roads. Thought I should share it with you. Mark

That's me and my buddy. Already posted it in another thread.
Yes it was an external mic.
Track day on the 28th and I'll be done with break-in. Video to come.
To be honest we went for an epic drive last weekend and I have a 30 min video but I can't post it I'm afraid.
Cars were 991 911 gt3, cayman R, 458 coupe , 458 speciale, lotus cup car, bmw 1M and bmw 135M
I was revving to 6k there

All other cars( including the normal 458 ) we're no problem, Except of TomTom's speciale for several reasons:
1. TomTom was done with break-in( speciale's break-in is only 1000 km) and could rev to 9k I was short shifting at 6k, maximum 6.5k. A few times. That made it very hard to be in the right power band at the right time. Over taking was a problem as I would have to shift up too early and would loose power.
2. TomTom knows the roads we were in like the back of his hand. His words" I could drive it blindfolded". This was my very first time on those roads. I'm a track guy while Tom prefers open roads driving.
3.Tom is a very good driver,on these open roads. I have to admit. He Was pushing the car to the limits and it is a fantastic car. Very balanced and the grip is immense. After getting out of it I couldn't stop smiling for a while. The fiat really is something special.
Now given all the above points was not present and all was equal, we would have too see,too early to judge.
The car is absolutely amazing and even being handicapped at 6k, it gave me a glimpse of what it's going to be able to do once we get to know each other a bit more. Im at 2000 km right now and plan to be done with break-in before the 28th track day. Unfortunately TomTom is out if town or that would have been a good chance for a comparison.
Anyway there will be a lot of time for that as we are already planning our next trip out and track day together. Many videos and review to come.
Now if there was only a way I could post this vids when I'm done editing them.

Im Not sure to be honest. I've got it right next to the exhaust well hidden from the wind and even have a deadcat on it to reduce wind noise. A good friend of mine who's very tech savvy says its mechanical noise and he doesn't think it can be removed. If anyone has any ideas please chime in. Would love to get rid of it. If you need pics to see where I place it let me know

Am I the only one to prefer the looks of the normal 458 compared to the Speciale. Probably mostly the front end.. Back with 2 normal exhausts is actually probably nicer and cleaner.
Just the front around the cavallino is just too fussy.
