Got mine yesterday...April build

Tired of waiting for Sport Bucket Seats....

I paid a deposit in March 2013. Told I was 4th on dealer's list. Was beginning to get tired of waiting. About an hour ago got email and call from dealer. They have my allocation. Going in Monday to finalize the spec. Will be on the configurator all weekend.

I'll get all the details/dates on Monday. Was thinking white/ black wheels for a long time then maybe safire blue with silver wheels. Last night wife says - the yellow is not bad at all. Argh

Zedcat, I got my allocation on Friday as well, but was told a 4thQ build probably Oct. curious what you hear on Monday as far as build date. Wanted black but ordered white because of all the warnings about upkeep with black. Also got the black painted whls.

Will post details on timing when I know. The hard part up to now has been not knowing. Even if 4Q, once it's firm I'll be ok with it. My third ordered car, one of those with some surprise delays, so I know what I'm getting in to! Black looks so menacing, but upkeep is a commitment. Keeping it clean is one thing but avoiding swirl marks becomes an obsession.

Just updating as a couple of folks asked- I was notified of my allocation Feb 7. Placed the order today for April build with projected delivery June 20. I went with white, black wheels, PDLS in black, big tank, bluetooth, sound pkg plus, PCM, smoking pkg, sport seats plus, floor mats, front axle lift, SC clock, sport design wheel in leather. Asked about buckets but as expected no dice. This is with Momentum(Sonic) in Houston. Just waiting now....

Was offered an allocation at 2 different dealers and passed.

I want a manual transmission, and am very curious in how Porsche handles the problems they will encounter with these new engines.

MJones, will you be posting 991 GT3 sales as you did for the 997? Am curious to see the build numbers - will they be the same or more than past GT3 builds.

Well my situation has improved in the last few days. Had a Q4 through Porsche Hilton Head, jumped on one of the additional allocations Capital Porsche received last week and now have an early April lock, early May build and hopefully a June delivery.

Woohoo!!

Was also able to pass my allocation to another forum member that was vying for the Capital Porsche one so all ended well.
