Default GT3 Wing getting in the way

So I am pretty sure I am just being a noob or is it just me or does the Wing really get on your nerves when you look in your rear view mirror? I kinda expected it but I guess I'm just not used to it yet.

You get used to it... The rear view mirror becomes kinda useless... Try and get used to using your side mirrors to check behind you

The wing does obscure the view and the other day with the sun at just the right angle I actually got some glare off of it. But Chris is right, I'm getting used to it.

Its for sure a work in progress, but I am sure I will get used to it, the side view mirrors make things much more bearable, its at night that I get kinda scared with the cops crawling around not being able to use the rear view properly.

I know that the 997.2 auto-dimming doesn't work worth a crap cause the wing casts a shadow upon the sensor in the rear view.

Does the same thing happen with the 991GT3?

Please chime in....

yet another reason not to bother ordering the autodimming on the GT3.

The plus with nite driving is that the wing blocks headlights from other cars thus no need for the dimming feature Down side is you don't know if cars are there as you've mentioned and how close they are...

Eventually, using the side mirrors will become second nature

The side mirrors can be just as annoying at night without auto-dimming. I haven't done a bunch of night driving yet though so I'll pay more attention to dimming of the RVM.

Do the side mirrors come with auto dimming? Or is that another "weight saving" measure that was cut?

Option P13 includes auto-dimming rear and side view mirrors as well as rain sensing wipers.....

How does the 991 GT3 wing compare to the 997 GT3 or GT3RS wings?

I know the 997 GT3 wing and the GT2 wing really don't obscure much of the rear vision. However, the 997.2 GT3RS wing does. One 'feature' I really didn't like at all.

Clearly, you've never owned a dot two RS! The GT3 wing is tiny in comparison. The Barron uprights were the best mod money I ever spent on the RS.

Like that old saying goes... be careful what you wish for.

Seeing the wing in the rear view mirror is part of the GT3 experience. I also position my side mirrors so I can see a little of the wing. It's cool & I love it and I am serious.
