Do You Own A 458 And The 991 GT3?

I will in April. Alas my GT3 only exists on paper at the moment. Big sigh.

Same here have owned the 458 coupe - now the 458 spider .... my GT3 is on order but no ship date yet
458 is the best car ever - I test drove the new Turbo S and was not impressed - very curious to know how the GT3 drives as compared to the mighty 458...

Burning Brakes
When I took my 4.0 out in the canyons right after the 458, the 4.0 felt more fun and more explosive, and more connected with the driver and the road. I would guess the 991 GT3 which is coming in a few weeks will be even more so in some ways, albeit without the connection provided by the 4.0's manual transmission which I love.
The 458 is an awesome car and has a tremendous sense of occasion that no 911 can hope to emulate. It is gorgeous, sounds great and is just plain exotic.

Three Wheelin'
I drove a 458 last year and it was incredibly fast. Then I jumped back in my 997.2 C2S and it felt like a better driver's car. Most of that was down to far superior feel through the steering and the rest of the car. It felt like a traditional sports car whereas the Ferrari just felt like a fast car.
But I would like to give the Ferrari more time to grow on me

458 is phenomenal. Best car I have ever driven or owned.
I have not driven the 991 GT3, not a lot of interest in it....yet.
I prefer the rawness, manual, and feel of the 997.2 RS on the track though. Have a deposit on the upcoming RS so we'll see...

That 458 needs to be sitting next to a brand spanking new 991 GT3. I wouldn't sell the RS though. You know you need one. Time to make some phone calls KY

I've just traded a 2010 458 on a Speciale to arrive in June, and have GT3 arriving in a month. I loved the 458 but expect the GT3 to be quicker down a winding road. I'll let you know.

I am also waiting for a Speciale allocation...might be a while for me. I'm not sure the GT3 will be faster down a winding road, but it would probably be close. The thing that is the hardest for me to get used to is the size of the 458 compared to the 997.2 RS. I like the "smallness" of the Porsche, but it's also something I'm very used to. The 991 GT3 is larger of course.
