wanted to post some amateurish video I took this morning during an excellent passenger ride alongside a skilled driver and new gt3 owner. we were blessed with unusually warm january weather (71 degrees!) and minimal traffic...
kudos the the owner/driver for his exceptional throttle control... video may not look as fast as it felt.. but we were on the right side of what was safe for tight twisty roads with a mountain on one side the ocean cliffs on the other.
as a passenger, I was impressed with the well dampened suspension movement, the shift speed, and sound of the engine.
then... through an incredible act of spontaneous generosity and trust, I was actually offered the opportunity to drive for a distance... and that was truly exceptional. at low speeds and low rpm I can't say much except the turn-in felt smooth and delay free... there was more mechanical grip than I had imagined, and you could tell it would have held up to speeds which were many times the limit of that small road... and the feel of the car was that of something hewn from one solid piece. Very impressive car.. but you wouldn't expect anything different would you?
I can't help but feel like the gt3 may be a car for truly rare roads... there is just so much to explore it seems like a pity for that much mechanical capability to be limited to everyday traffic and speed limits... each moment though it definitely feels special... even at a standstill... thank you for the experience sir!
(anonymity maintained so as to avoid any issues with the law... but I'm sure you can all guess who the owner of this particular gt3 is.
)
EDIT: video still processing... give it a minute

Totally. Mike in CA: we recognize the DIY V1 installation...there's no getting that past us.
Best part of the video was the sideview mirror shot showing the sexy red sheetmetal profile. SICK!
