I'm impressed enough with myself that I was able to stitch three videos together... I wanted to overlay some gt3 sounds at 9k rpm and speed jt up a bit to make it look faster.. But that's beyond my capabilities LOL!

Joking aside.. I was surprised how slow the video looked, we were keeping a good clip in parts.. The man can read a road pretty well...

Wow, I envy you guys! In a good way, of course. I put 30 miles in traffic since my car was delivered - stuck at work. Starting to question my career choice...

Pretty generous considering the mcdonalds banter.

So CAlexio, now that you've ridden in and driven the car...are you still a buyer?

So if someone was to hypothetically recreate such a drive, where exactly one would have to do it and at what time of the day, to encounter so little traffic? It's weekend, so I imagine other Nor Cal 991 GT3 owners, may finally be able to drive theirs too, hypothetically speaking

Hypothetically, one would take the Hwy 1/Stinson Beach exit if coming from San Rafael, or the Stinson Beach/Mill Valley exit if coming from the City, and follow the signs to Stinson Beach. Hwy 1 is now before you, all the way up the coast if you like. I've heard of people doing this around 10-11am on a weekday, but earlier might be better, especially on a weekend. Have a safe hypothetical trip!

^^ You must have been typing while I was watching the clip!

The hypotheticals are on point.

The first clip begins just south of the Bolinas/Fairfax road split and motors south along the marsh.

The 2nd clip picks up on the same route just south of Stinson Beach, just a little beyond Steep Ravine.

Continuing south, the 3rd clip picks up just south of the Muir Beach overlook charging down the hill toward the Muir Woods outlet by Pelican Inn.

Fantastic road in both directions, and if you time it right there is nary a Prius, Forester, or Honda Odyssey in sight.

Highway Patrol tends to hang out on the top of the ridge between the Muir Beach overlook and Slide Ranch (where one could hypothetically be found traveling at 50+ over the posted limit) so be cautious on that particular straight.

The sheriff tends to hang out just past any blind corner in any of several pull offs down along the marsh, but generally closer to the Bolinas turn off than the Stinson end.

Typically they are roving so you have to keep your eyes (analog or electronic) way out front, and on the weekends it is fair game on the speeders, all the cops are out from about 8:45am on anywhere between Olema and Mill Valley, and on any road in between.

On the Olema Valley to Stinson "stint" they tend to hide in the same places, so you can learn their spots quick enough.

It is not uncommon for them to sit a cruiser on both ends between Stinson & all the way out as far as Tomales, and they use planes and who knows what else to rake in all that sport-bike money.

On the week days, if you go early, use caution as the surface can vary, and the birds tend to be hanging out on the pavement- but you will see all your Porsche brethren out there heading this way and that, yours truly included.

Thanks for posting the video. Would love to see more!

I've never considered myself a red car person but seeing all these red GT3s has really started to change my mind. Thanks for the video!

Sweet post. Thanks for sharing! That noise and view...

Edit: Just watched it again. Inifinite jealousy on my part! It doesn't even need to spin halfway to 9K to be fun!

How noticeable is the RWS? How about the electric power steering? Are the tiny vibrations/feedback there like in a pure hydraulic rack?

Thanks again for posting, guys.

Thanks for the cop knowledge Comanche!.. and yep, you nailed it, he was at the top of the ridge waiting for us.. Luckily a slow moving pickup truck and kindly slowed our progress at just the right time :-)

Does anyone on here use the WAZE app on their phones? It's crowd-sourced GPS, works amazingly well with up to the second cop and traffic info. Download it, you'll never use another mapping/GPS/cop info again.

So jealous of the beautiful roads you have in your neck of the woods. Perfect for a nice drive...
