Default Just nabbed one

I just nabbed a May 16'th arrival date allocation at sticker. Just in the right place at the right time. Couldn't be happier.....

My guess is " Yes "
Nope. Too many peeps too few cars.

That doesn't mean that allocations will pop up here and there as you've seen on this forum. But to see even a dozen pop up does not mean that demand will be met.

No different than what happened with the 997 GT3's. Heck I wasn't on the list for the 997.2 GT3 RS and got calls from my dealer wondering if I wanted an allocation.

So what is the logic to make this a limited production? Is the profit margin not as high on the GT3 as the other models and just a way for attracting customers to the other models? Cleary Porsche has a production limitation and would have to reduce production on the 991 models to produce more GT3's. How difficult was it to reserve the 997 GT3 compared to this model?

I think u r correct on both accounts. The profit margin is higher for regular 911 models.

Porsche produces the GT3, RS, cup etc, as halo cars that attract customers to the regular Porsches, on which their profit margin is higher
