I never had it happen, but the last 6 months we seen several.

You might get a free set out of it if you ask?
About 3 months back, I had one of my rear pads (1299 08s) separate from the backing plate under hard braking. The pads were at about 50% thickness and the pad material totally slid off of the backing plate. Almost caused me to run off the track as the pedal went all the way to the floor and it took a few pumps to get pressure again. PFC knows about this and hopefully is working on a fix. What amazed me is the fact that there is absolutely nothing (as in some copper retainer pins) attaching the pad material to the backing plate. it just appears to be fused to the backing plate somehow but not held on mechanically. It seems that this problem was isolated to a batch of pads made at the end of 2012. Hopefully...

They all squeal...every race pad I've ever tried squeals. Also the pf01 will wear out the rotor much faster than the 08's. The 08's have become the standard pad most everyone uses.

PF08 on the .2 didnt squeal much at all, esp compared to pagid RS29 which were extremely loud when cold.

When I switched to AP racing J hook rotors I was pleasantly surprised that my PFC 08s became pretty much silent, just an occasional squeak. They were never loud to begin with but now are quiet. The 08s are probably the quietest race pads out there in my opinion.

This year is shaping up to be a good one in Vail. Last year sucked except for the last week in January. This was Jan 31, 2013 in China bowl. I got my fat boards ready!
