Any sports car I have will see redline a decent amount of times (at least in first and second...) ****, my cayenne gts sees redline in 1st and 2nd on a daily basis haha. No problems there!

I don't have a problem with redlining the car here and there and do that with my .2 sometime but tracking a brand new GT3 will not happen for a while. Maybe a older car thats aged will be much easier to bear than tearing your brand new GT3 on track but then again everyone buy these cars for a certain application. I didn't buy it for tracking. Maybe later when its older and more mature

My buddy swears he has the fastest stock .2RS. He drove his car straight to the track right from taking delivery from the dealer and tracked the **** out of it SAME DAY! That was its break in.

I broke in my .2 GT3 as per the Porsche's recommendations. I would right neck and neck every time with my friend's .2RS. We're talking runs in excess of 1/4 mile. He broke his in per the manual for the first 800-900 miles, then let her rip. Make of it what you will. We are pretty equal drivers.

Old debate. There is nothing here to look at folks.
Some say drive it like you stole it some say take it easy like the book. One thing is sure I dont think anyone has ever broken one due to their method either way and new owners usually only keep their cars 1-4 years after all so probably more a matter for the next man...

You're considering a used car from an unknown buyer and he brags that the day he bought it new he left the dealers lot, went directly to the track and drove the sh*t out of it. Now honestly, all you drive-it-like-you-stole-it guys, are you still just as interested in that car as you were a minute ago? I mean, if you really believe that's the best way to break in a car...
