[QUOTE=0Q991;11096078]Not sure if this has been posted. Apologies, if so.
Surprised GT3 does not have more issues the way it's being driven on tracks. Poor car.

I think it's going to take some time for new owners to adjust to this high rpm engine as it seems this thing is at it's best above 7000RPM !!!. Wowsha !!

One thing you can see on this vid more than the others I've seen is the understeer - so much for that being eliminated with RWS!

Indeed. And it was good driving, too. Guy didn't appear to be too far off ultimate pace - not sure why he didn't brake more aggressively, through, or carry more speed through the slow corners.

Hey Frayed ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I know this car is track ready and all but man I won't take this car to track anytime soon. Watching these videos redlining a brand new GT3 is something. I might after 3 or 4 yr's but not not anytime soon. More force to those who do. You guys have Ba&&$. I work so hard to get this car and to take it to track and redline it all day long is not my plan. I know, I know I am a woos.

Silverules is a woos.
But seriously, what is wrong with taking it to red line. The engine, the transmission, everything is designed to do exactly that. The engine could probably go higher, but 9k rpm is well within the tolerances of the design so that an owner can do this over and over. Track work almost always involved keeping the engine operating at the very top of its rev range.. It's not abuse, it's use.

I drive mine flat out every track day I get to and it hasn't skipped a beat... If there aren't guys out there driving them hard like that, we will never know how robust they really are!

^ GT3s should be run to 8.5 - 9k repeatedly. These engines are designed to live between 7-9k. I have no problem with that. If last generations are an indicator, over 9k, type 1 and 2 over-revs will not be an issue either. My last one saw red-line on a regular basis; post break-in. It is almost impossible to drive these cars and not explore the sweet spot multiple times daily. That is what they are made for. The first vid, although sounding impressive, is a bit foolish in a high traffic area. The second one, on the track, I enjoyed seeing the tach needle swing hard right.
