Let's have some fun

Mine: Decide which car goes to open up space in the garage.

That is easy (well it was for me)

Which car has the most "hits"? For my family, even on a new car, that was an easy decision within weeks. Minivan is outside.

Haha, I actually started a list for myself. Hope it's not too serious for this forum
  • Decide on paint protection (clear bra or something else) and find a good installer
  • Drive each local track at least once in the old, familiar and cheap, track car (it's new to me area) - don't want to be "that guy" driving slowly in a fast car.
  • Decide on the track tires - PSC2 are not proven and quite expensive, so alternatives may be worth considering
  • Find out if I can/should get 19" track wheels
  • Practice left foot braking
  • Create a list of tools needed for changing wheels (damn center locks)
  • Put my old track car for sale
  • plan a road trip to facilitate faster break-in
  • buy a radar detector
  • research small trailer options for transporting track wheels

Max, you have this all down, don't u? Ya, clear bra is must specially on a white car. I know of a good installer. They are somewhere between Sacramento and Elk grove. I can find you the contact info if u are interested Max.They did two of my turbos but I never did it on my BLK GT3. The 991 will get it.

My list:
-find someone who can do a "test-fit" with their gt3 in my garage... No fit, no gt3.. Can't just park this outside on an SF hill.

-decide on a front protection medium.. Clear bra or other?
-plasti-dip wheels to make them flat black (without paying Porsche silly money) and protect them from brake dust.
-tint
-find a good radar detector.
-one track day once car is back from ED.

I'm sure there is more.. But that is all I have for now.

We can try my GT3 in your garage when I am down in the city Alex. I have a Valentine-1 but not sure if there are better detectors now? I think V-1 is dated.

I'm doing just that except I'm tearing down the old 2 car garage and building a 3 car garage with a lift. Been in the planning stage for some time....

Garage is the cheapest part of building a new house. I thought I be safe with 6 but boy was I wrong. That space gets full so fast. I have a spot for two more but dealing with contractors is another story

I'm in the middle of my garage addition. I added a pretty big area. I should be able to get three cars in the addition. My bendpak Sp7x got delivered yesterday. I'm hopeful to be all finished just before the holidays.

This will keep me plenty busy between now and when the GT3 arrives in April
