If this IS the final look, then I fear the RS will not be as good as we all hoped it would be and unless it is totally amazing on performance front to justify the increase in cost compared to GT3, then I will be shopping elsewhere.

Im sure it will look quite different on the auto show floor. The wing will change as will the wheels. The oohs and aaahs when the 991 GT3 were partly about the wheels - right up until the unveil we had no idea what the production wheel would look like and it turned out a winner. Infact I think its the nicest production wheel design Ive seen from Porsche since the 993 Cup 2. there is no doubt with the RS we will be a bit desensitized having already seen teh GT3 which was a huge change in the first instance but Im confident you will find the RS an attractive and aggressive design.
Thats said IMHO the 997.2GT3RS (in grey and red signature colour) was the most fantastic and aesthetically pleasing GT3 I have seen to date even better looking and proportioned than the 4.0RS (although with both I could not own a car with all those "GT3RS" stickers - Id have to have them taken off LOL!).
The new 991 GT3RS has to aim high to beat the look of the 997.2 GT3RS IMO...

We should expect a very large wing indeed on the 991 RS to balance the much larger and wider body. Count on some stupid look at me graphics track guys will remove just like .2

I think it will be more than likely the RS will have wider front fenders to go along with the turbo rear fenders and the look will be proportional. I agree that the turbo cars with the standard front width fenders don't look as good as the C4 bodied cars.

I also prefer the 991 GT3 shape. The 991 TT rear is too wide now IMHO. The hips look flat rather than curvaceous from behind and frankly I think they have gone just a little bit to far....

IMO, the RS formula should be simple:
RS = GT3 + 50hp - 250lbs
And the GT3 should be under 3000lbs. Technology and engineering should be used more to add lightness and less for gimmicks. I catch myself looking at Exiges more often lately.
