It's a test mule...hardly a final configuration. BTW, that's a diffuser at the rear, as on the 991 GT3, not a skid plate......

Just my thoughts - but the more I look at it the more it makes sense its the RS to me...
I concur, dual ctr exhaust tips are the "giveaway" here ... assuming that the RS will share the new TT/S wide body I could easily imagine that this is an early mule using a TT/S body for testing etc ...

if you look closely it appears as though the "trim" around the ducts is "camouflage" the underlying intake more closely resembles that of the 991 TT/S ... rear wing also looks like a bit of a hack ... checkout the gurney...

I agree. Looking at the video that sounds like a NA not turbo engine to me. The rear wing is the standard 991 GT3 one and like on the 991 GT3 mules will be the last thing they change out for the larger RS wing before launch. My gut feel is this is a 991 GT3RS mule....

21" wheels look enormous, even in black. Can't imagine how huge they'll look in a lighter color. Need second profession to pay for rubber.

I sent the video link to someone I know in Germany who knows more than me. Its definitely NA, its definitely 2WD with 4WS, its definitely PDK and in their opinion is definitely IS the new GT3RS!

Shame about the wheels and rear guards. However this is prototype so we will not know what the real car will look like until later in the year (probably formal launch Geneva March 2014).

It does have an awful lot of ground clearance due to those huge wheels.

Deeper front chin spoiler.

Not feeling the side vents or tack-on fender lips.

Yes bigger wing will come last.

Not sure whats happening with that ride height. Looks all wrong to me. Maybe part of a active aero setup LOL!

I'm not seeing it I guess. The ride height in that last pic is likely cause the car is unloaded. The 21" wheels shouldn't add any height b/c the outside tire diameters will likely be the same. I'm also betting there will be no vent; they're just using the turbo shell.

Yeah, understeer. Looks like the chassis guys have some more work to do. Maybe those bigger meats out back and wider track are providing appreciably more grip that the chassis calibration still needs a bunch of attention.

One has to wonder if the tack on front fender flares will make it into production. I would hope not and would expect new front quarter panels.

I think AP stated that the RS will provide a notable performance jump from the regular 3? If so, it's difficult to fathom.

With the huge improvements in the 991 GT3 (Wide Body, RWS, Faster PDK, 475 HP, and a Hockenheim Lap
Time of 1:08, faster than the 620 HP GT2RS, 500 HP GT3RS 4.0, 612 HP Carrera GT, 600 HP McLaren,
647 HP Corvette ZR1, 670 HP Lamborghini and 570 HP Ferrari 458, I don't see what improvements can
be made on the coming GT3RS which will make it substantially faster. At 9000 RPM and 475 HP the 3.8L
Engine is at or extremely close to its limits of N/A reliable HP. The Transmission speed is at or close to its maximum shifting speed, the Chassis width is close to its maximum, and the suspension is at or near
its development limits. Little "excess weight" remains to be found, and certainly a few pounds will not move the needle much.Yes, a larger more effective Wing could be used - but that can easily be added
the GT3 (Crawford Performance would be delighted to oblige, as they did on my 993 GT2 race car.)

From the Hockenheim Lap Time, I suspect the Ring Time can be significantly further reduced provided
that marketing factors (GT3 vs TTS) do not intrude. Where will the GT3RS get its additional performance from?
