The seat's airbags will not be 'operable' and the passenger seat sensors will not register on your US spec 991gt3! Fault codes will light up on your instrument panel like a Christmas Tree! Why spend the money for safety stuff that will NOT work with your US 991?

For the track, just use a dedicated racing seat from Recaro (or other maker) & call it a day! It is a cheaper & better solution than the expensive 991/981 Euro gt2 types seats that will NOT work properly on your US spec 991 gt3 in any case! And it is Hans ready & usable with proper 6 point racing harnesses!

You really want to be taking 2 stocks seats out and putting 2 racing seats in a car every month just for DE's? That is quite a time consuming task.

2:174 a few of them on RA1 figure a 2:15 with Hoosiers and a clean lap, a few secs faster on slicks but this is in the mighty stock except for LSD 4.0.

Eddie's cheater 3.8RS was down 30HP and I'm sure even more torque and he ran 2:15 on slicks. no LD!!
He is faster or at the very least as fast with much less practice.

We were both a second off our TBL due to traffic, so subtract another second to compare to 991GT3 on an open track.

Thanks for the correction....so there it is...the 991GT3 has it's goal laid out...Sebring should be the ultimate test track so PORSCHE...bring your new car to Sebring and have at it.

It takes 20min per seat to swap. You can order a Cup seat from Porsche Motorsport that is a direct bolt in - 4 screws per seat. In 997, though. I assume similar could be valid for 991, but to be confirmed.
Best, w

Yes Porsche bring it to Sebring and see what it can do, bring it down from NY and put US couches in and let her rip

Not me. I am in the camp that wants PCNA to let us have a 'sport bucket seat' (w. airbags) option here in the US, remember!

USA

This is such a pickle!! If only there was a way to connect the two?!
You must have good 'grounded' contact at Zuffenhausen or Weissach! Lucky for you, there is a special Porsche kit that will get you out of that 'pickle'. I think 'Porsche of Naples' even sells it! Try it and let me know how it works on the gt2 seats!

Default Meanwhile, over at the Nurburgring...

'Giant all-white *****...poses low-grip safety hazard'. A once-in-a-lifetime, 'headline for the ages'! Now part of the history of this world famous racing venue!

"The fabled Nordschleife, the treacherous layout alongside the modern Nurburgring formula one circuit, had to be closed for a time on Sunday.
Austria's APA news agency reports that graffiti artists painted a giant 15 by 4-metre all-white ***** on the asphalt of the famous layout.
Circuit authorities deployed specialised cleaning vehicles to remove the graffiti, and local police confirmed that the facility had to be closed for 90 minutes.
The police estimate that the graffiti involved about 20 litres of white paint, posing a low-grip safety hazard for those lapping the Nurburgring."
