I have disassembled it for a check. According to professionals, the camshaft and finger follower are like brand new. It's hard to believe that this engine has been running for 35k miles. Now I think g6 is the best solution, at least that's the fact.

That’s great news for all G6 owners, may I know oil has been used and what oil change intervals has been like?

Nice!

What oil was used? How often was it changed? How many trackdays?

My G6 was opened after 10K Kilometers (incl. 4 Trackdays). FF and Camshaft looked like new. Mobil1 0w40 standard oil.

Change the oil every 1.5k miles, using Mobile 1 5w50 FS X2.

Hard to see the finger followers in the pic, but the cams look great! Much credit to actually doing something to resolve a concern. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Seeing how easy it was to pull the engine andd inspect the finger followers / cams, if/when my car gets to 30K on the G0 I will probably do the same.

Curious which oil was ran as well?

This is exactly what Porsche showed us in Atlanta. The parts looked like new. Now that someone was able to prove it hopefully we can all agree that the G6 engine fixes this FF issue. There should be no doubt. The .1 is one of the best GT3s imo and with the G6 it rivals anything new or old.

Should be a sticky to help cut down on redundant threads/questions.

Hmm... reflection or very small sign of wear? Shouldnt be a problem for the next 35k miles but its not exactly like new

Overall, condition is great for a high revving engine. FFs look like new. I would be intersted to see the rod bearings... have never seen some...
The bore / linings looked like new on my F engine at 45k kilometers, we inspected them by endoscope.

Engine is solid.

Do you mean this place? It's not a reflection here, but according to professionals, this is not caused by abnormal wear. It is caused by contact surface contact. If it's wear, it will be strip-shaped. Currently, this G6 is in good condition. Also, I don't know the exact mileage of the track, but it will certainly not be small.
