Default 991.2 GT3 DME Report Feedback Request

This is a vehicle which I'm considering purchasing. 2018 GT3 PDK. 19,000 miles, one owner.

I know ranges 4-6 can mean potential engine problems, and ranges 1-2 are normal. What about range 3?

Appreciate any feedback.

Told range 3 is fine (Porsche will warranty the car, at least in the UK), plus this is a PDK. You get over rev reports for the manual in case of a money shift sending the revs sky high.

Understood.

As best I can find online range 3 is 9400-9600 ? Is that correct? If that is correct, how can that happen in a PDK car?

I thought for GT3s, it’s range 4 that goes about 9000 RPM. There is a video from the switch cars guy on YouTube that breaks down the reports as it’s different for different cars.

I believe these are the ranges, based on my interet research.
Ranges 1-3 seems to be consistant across the 997, 991, 992 GT3 cars.
Ranges 4-6 info which I detailed below is from the 997 GT3...

---
Range #1 is 9,000-9,200
Range #2 is 9,200-9,400
Range #3 is 9,400-9,600
Range #4 is 9,600-10,000
Range #5 is 10,000-11,000
Range #6 is > 11,000

Looks like a trip or 2 to the limiter no issue.

I think so as well. Car is at my local dealer, drives nice and I have a deposit on it. Just went throught CPO so will come with a 2 year warranty.

Never ever have I ever seen or heard of a damaging over-rev on a PDK. I'm sure you can destroy it but not like a manual.... Get it and drive it!!!

If you chip the PDK car, don’t some tunes raise the rev limiter?

This report is really minor though, I wouldn’t worry.

I always thought you would get some low hits on the DME report because while the red line was 9000 the fuel cut off was a little higher.
