I picked up a 991.2 GT3 RS a couple months ago and recently started noticing a faint ticking noise coming from the rear. It sounds similar to diesel chatter or flywheel chatter, and it is most obvious under light throttle above 2k RPM (and I believe it's less noticeable when the engine is cold). Seems to disappear under heavy throttle (or it is at least getting drowned out by the exhaust). It's relatively faint, but loud enough that I can hear it bouncing off walls and buildings when driving with the windows down. I've only started hearing it lately but it's possible I just never noticed it before because I typically drive with music.
I know RS' make all sorts of strange noises, but I was just looking for a sanity check as this ticking sound seems new to me. Is this just a normal flat six engine noise?

I had that on my .2 for awhile, but either it went away or I got used to it and don't notice it any longer. My .2 made less "marbles in the gearbox" clatter than my .1, but it had that tick that wasn't always present, but was there under light/normal driving. I wouldn't be too worried about it, but if it persists or gets really noticeable it wouldn't hurt to get it checked.
