Default Picking up my new ride

Hello Rennlisters - I'm new to the site. Need some advice. I'm picking up a 2022 911 GT3 Touring on Friday in Miami and driving it cross-country to Marin County in California. Need any tips to make the trip fun and safe.
Thanks in advance!

Congrats, good to see another GT3 owner up in Marin County 😁. I've never done a cross country trip, but the car is plenty reliable so you shouldn't run into any car issues. The absolute worse case that can happen is you get some sort of flat / nail in the tire. I recommend bringing some tire repair kit along the way,

As long as you have a general idea of your route, where to stay each night, it should be a good drive. Enjoy!

I've picked up one of my Pcar in San Diego and drove to Texas. Top of the list advice and concern "Rock Chips"! Protect your paint and then map out the fueling points including lodging. Have fun and be safe!

I would agree with this. Hopefully it has PPF on the front half of the car at minimum, that should help alleviate most of the stress of road wear (rocks/bugs, etc) on your journey.

Should be epic tho, enjoy yourself and that beautiful new car of yours.

Amazon Amazon

Apply in a few mins and drive across the world and it just comes off with a hose on the other end, I used this when I first started DE's to protect my expensive ppf LOL. Use 2 - 3 coats is my advice on all the main areas and works a charm.

Wayz - a detector would just tempt me to speed. I've avoided getting a speeding ticket for 21 years now...want to continue that trend. There's plenty of great roads in Marin I can push the car without risk of the Police. Plus we have Sonoma close by if I get the itch to push really hard ;-)

Oh that's neat! Too late for me to order through Amazon - I leave for my flight in less than 4 hours. I will search for some local shops that sell it in Miami to buy and apply before I start my trip back to Cali.
Thanks!

Ya full front PPF, plus rear quarters.

So many people are so worried about a pebble chip. A good paint shop can fix that or leave it. You have a great car - sounds like you will enjoy it and not treat it as a garage Queen.

Definitely PPF at least the front. I have also been ticket free for 40 years ….. because of an Escort on the windshield. I, for one of many, could not comprehend a trip from Miami to CA at the speed limit. Parts of that trip are cruise control at three digits. Safe trip & welcome.
