Default Incoming 991.2 GT3👌

Hi folks, new in this section. Just got myself a chalk 991.2 GT3 PDK with sports seats. An itch I need to scratch.

Coming from a much loved 991.2 T so it will be an interesting comparison! Hopefully collect next week😀

Thanks very much folks. Pick up on Monday, excitement is building!

It will be interesting to see how it compares to the T in reality.

Congratulations. I had a Carrera T for three years and 24,000 miles. I have lots of great memories with that car and I do miss it. Porsche marketed the car as a back to basics / raw Carrera, but now having the GT3, the T feels much more grand tourer and comfortable. Maybe because my T had the 18 ways and my GT3 has the LWB’s. The GT3 steering, suspension and engine are on another level. It makes a lot of noises and chatter (ie. transmission) compared to the T. My T was manual as is my GT3. The induction noise in the interior of the T sounded very good thanks to the sound enhancement tube. Last night I was surprised to see a T drive by me while I was on my bike and it was much more quiet than a GT car. Seventh gear was great in the T for highway cruising on road trips for fuel economy and cabin noise. The GT3 is about 1000 rpm’s higher at similar speeds and noisier.

I am sure you will love your new car. You may even miss the T occasionally and have a better appreciation for it in hindsight. Both are great cars.

Great summary!! I have both and they are really different cars. Love them both for different reasons. I'm sure you will really enjoy the GT3, especially if you can get it on the track a few times!! Have fun!

Another level sounds good to me😊 I specifically went for sports seats as I found the LWBs really uncomfortable for me in my 718 GT4.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Got it😉 flew out and picked up on Monday from Glasgow OPC Scotland then drove back to Ireland via the ferry. Needless to say I’m a happy camper, sounds obvious but it’s like a T turned up to 11.
Highlights:
The noise is insane.
The ride and road manners are amazing, I was a bit worried it would be a bit harsh after the T but it’s anything but.
Looks are subjective and I struggle with having a big wing at my age but bloody hell it’s menacing and it doesn’t half have presence.
Chalk and black bits really do contrast well.
It’s low, driving up and down the ramp to the ferry I was really pleased to have front lift.
Comfort seats, love them I doubt my back could have taken the 6 hour drive in buckets.

Portpatrick

No nerves about boarding

Congrats on buying a great car!

I live just south of London and flew to Edinburgh to pick up mine last October.

Drove back with the wife and was surprised how comfortable the fixed buckets were! Even the wife loves it!
