Some people have speculated that there could be a new version in the pipeline (as the reason for the discount). I have no idea…

Isn’t it odd that this unit doesn’t connect via OBD2? Wouldn’t you want that to know the real pictures (brakes, throttle, RPM, …)

not really its not a data capture device its a coaching device - all been discussed many times elsewhere ... racing forum

received today! Heading to Chuckwalla Friday to check it out. Baseline lap for me is a 2:03. Hoping to hit the sub-2:00 club Friday!

I love this device and now use it exclusively and not my Solo2 and Smartycam. The ability study data right away and share content with friends is really really nice.

the Garmin's information is clearly more consumable I think than many of the "professional" telemetry capture technologies... IMO!

For sure. I'd love a throttle and brake indicator as well and hope they add that ability at some point.
