Default 991.2 GT3RS oil pump failure

Hello Rennlisters,

Once again I need your help.
I have 991.1 GT3RS that I drive on my local tracks (France) and on the Nurburgring.
I might buy a 991.2 GT3RS but the car had oil pump failure.

Good point : the car was fixed at the best place, Manthey Racing !
They replaced some parts.
I am afraid it happen again and I am afraid some others parts might have been damage and not replaced.

What do you think about it ?
Attached the PDF file for the repair at Manthey Racing.
FYI "Kurbelgehä" seems to be "crankcase housing" or "cylinder block"
I deleted some informations on this document as it's not my car yet. so you will not see VIN or number plate or name.

The parts listed make up most of an engine... only thing really missing is cylinder heads. Everything else's been replaced pretty much. I imagine the car comes with a warranty and this work will be warrantied so I would feel confident buying it.

Repaired was done under warranty I guess.
To me its' mandatory the car come with Porsche Warranty when I buy (as my current 991.1 was when I bought and I renewed when it was over)
.... I can't play with prices like that in case of a blown engine....

And in this case, It's more about the car being broken for months and my season is ruined.

Thanks for your help.

Can't imagine any GT3 in Germany being broken for months, the parts aren't hard to get. I don't think we can conclude one way or the other if it is more or less likely to break again. Most of the engine is now new.

Maybe see you on track somewhere, my season is looking like Nordschleife and Spa only.

It seems that this one took more than 3 months to repair

Depending on the time of the season it can take a couple months before Manthey has time to do anything unfortunately... an engine failure probably doesn't get to skip the queue. I go there for alignments etc but for usual stuff Porsche Center Aachen for example is way less busy.

If you are in Aachen we are not too far from each other, I am from LILLE.
If I have an engine to rebuild I prefer the job to be done at MR instead of Porsche centrum ;-)

Actually I'm from Belgium but my GT3 is registered in Germany right next to the Ring for tax reasons

I've found all German Porsche centers to be very proficient, but I've only used a couple.

If you can advise, what was the final bill including parts fro Manthey to rebuild the engine?

I am not quite sure they woud give this information because the job was done under the Porsche warranty.
I can try someday to ask, maybe when I will bring them the car....if I buy it.
Or I can try to ask the current owner when I will meet him.

Thanks.

Just curious what a rebuild on one of these engines cost
