Default Rear wheel steering feel at slow speeds

I have a 2019 991.2 GT3 Touring. At slow (parking lot speeds) with the FAL up, I find that, when making sharp turns, it feels like the wheel is rubbing against the wheel well. Is that a symptom of the rear wheel steering and the car is just turning in a very sharp manner?

thank you

I don't think the rear-wheel-steer is connected to any rubbing with your FAL raised. I've never experienced rubbing while FAL raised but I rarely have any large amounts of steering lock applied at times when using FAL.

Same. Never had issue with FAL up and rubbing when doing tight turns. I do it all the time when getting out of my garage just to make sure I don't scrape my driveway.

Its not rubbing, but it feels like the wheels are almost moving without actually going forward. Like the rears turning is twisting the front wheels while they’re in place. Odd sensation.

I think what you are describing is the "normal" experience of low speed/full lock ...

Thank you. Lots of interesting quirks in this car. I had a 997.2 GT3RS and loved the clutch chatter. I was told I wouldn’t have that in the GT3, but it def chatters (at least when cold). I love the brake squeal, etc. only thing I miss is the feedback in the steering wheel.

I put a sharkwerks exhaust on - the sound is fantastic.

You're probably feeling the LSD locking up since you probably have one rear wheel up in the air/off the ground, such as if you're going up a curb and turning at the same time.

I had never heard of that before - thank you! There was a post that had a short video on caster, and he used a shopping cart as an analogy. Its colder here (in the 40s) and I’m on Cup 2s, so that likely contributes to the issue given other comments in the posts.

Thank you everyone I appreciate the assistance!

Apart from the "Acorn Effect", full lock FAL up can rub on the .1s 3RS with the 265/35/R20 Cup 2s. My lining shows wear but nothing drastic.

Porsche Japan issued a voluntary recall and replace the fronts with the narrower GT3 tyres to prevent this.
