Can u elaborate which x431 that u have? I have the icarscan (not icarsoft) Bluetooth obd tool but it’s getting outdated. It’s had the most functionality with android based devices to date for so many vehicles and has had the most value to me. But it’s time to upgrade. For my bmws bimmercode and BimmerLink have been most useful.

I paid about $500 for icarsoft CR Max a few years ago. It works not just on my GT3, but at least 30 other models. I reset my service intervals , read & reset codes, perform test on modules and more. Theres also unlimited updates. There selling it for $312 on Amazon right now.

I'm not sure what specific codes your referring to. It will scan and read codes. Every error code my car has thrown I was able to look at it and clear it. I have reset my battery and test modules like activating the power windows. I haven't really gone deep into it. I don't know if it will do a DME report but it is a very capable unit.

FYI, I purchased a LAUNCH X431 CRP919XBT and played with it over the weekend.
It appears to have all the service tools needed, plus it reads overrevs. Also has full coding capabilities. I may do some playing with this.
Lots of coding info in the 718 forums.
Pretty impressed so far.

Has anyone tried this yet? I’ve seen it on sale for as low as $85. It’s made by Launch and claims to do coding. It looks like you just use your phone as the tablet interface.
Im still rocking my Launch Pros Mini that I paid too much for ($850?)

literally bought this a few days ago. Works well. Haven’t dug into what it can do with the gt3 yet. Looks to be a modern continuation for the old orange Icarscan (old golo and old ezdiag apps) that @deilenberger and I loved so much. Works with more functionality on android vs ios. It will work on an android pad vs a phone with direct download via website vs google store.
much better functionality on BMW, but I use other apps for the BMW except for service correction. All in all not too bad if you subscribe for a year or two cause you get all models/makes/generic functionality.
